Digitization of OFFICIAL PROGRAM GUIDEBOOK

  • Tokyo Marathon
  • Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon

We are able to reduce paper consumption by digitizing previously printed materials, such as event programs. And by going paperless, people can easily access information on their smartphones and other devices anytime, anywhere.

Para Athletics Class at Japan National Stadium

  • Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon

In the afternoon of race day, we will host a Para Athletics class in the field of Japan National Stadium, creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes—regardless of disability—to pursue their dreams.

Guide‑Runner Trial Lesson

  • Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon

We offer a workshop for people who are interested in supporting runners with visual impairments by becoming guide runners. Participants will learn not only guide‑running techniques but also day-to-day communication skills and ways to support their running partners.

Barrier‑Free Workshops

  • Tokyo Legacy Half Marathon

We conduct workshops on the subject of "barrier-free mindset," to deepen understanding of disabilities. Participants will get to try using wheelchairs as well as simulate blindness using eye masks.

Drawing Runner Exhibition

  • Tokyo Marathon

Student artists from Tokyo University of the Arts captured the moment when runners started from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, in quick sketches (croquis) within a limited time. The artworks were exhibited on race day and were then displayed at multiple venues after the event.

Implementation of the New "OMOTENASHI AID"

  • Tokyo Marathon

For Tokyo Marathon 2026, we are introducing "OMOTENASHI (Hospitality) AID" as a new initiative to help runners enjoy the event even more. The word "omotenashi" embodies our pride in supporting the runners, as this initiative aims to warmly welcome and cheer on runners by providing refreshments that showcase the flavors of Japan and Tokyo.
